What the square means

An aspect is the angle between two planets — how they talk to each other. At 90°, the square is the aspect of the same subject restarting, and what each restart gets you to do. In a chart it's associated with motion, recurrence, pressure, unfinished business.

We call this one Activation, after what the angle does rather than how it is supposed to feel. Elsewhere you will see the square called a “challenging” or “hard” aspect. Same geometry — it is worth knowing both words, but the older one rates the experience before you have looked at anything.
