"What does my chart say about money?" is one of the first questions people bring to astrology, and the answer is spread across several places in the chart. Worth puts them on one page.

The second house is the traditional house of resources: what you have, what you earn and what you hold on to. Worth gives the sign on its cusp and the degree, the planet that rules that sign, and where that ruler sits in your chart: its sign, its house, how strong it is there by dignity, and whether it is retrograde. If any planets fall inside your second house, each is named with what it adds. The houses depend on the time of day, so without a birth time this part says plainly that it needs one, and the rest of the page still works.

Your Venus is read for what you value and enjoy, which is the other half of the word worth. Worth gives its sign and its house, with a paragraph for each.

The Lot of Fortune and the Lot of Spirit are two of the oldest calculated points in astrology, used by Hellenistic astrologers for material circumstances and for purpose. Each is found from the distance between the Sun and the Moon laid off from the Ascendant, and the direction flips between a day birth and a night birth. Worth tells you which yours is and shows the formula it used, so the point can be checked by hand.

Worth reads houses with modern rulerships, where Pluto rules Scorpio, Uranus Aquarius and Neptune Pisces, and says so on the page. If you follow the traditional rulers, the ruler it names for a Scorpio, Aquarius or Pisces second house will differ from yours, and that is a school, not a mistake.

Everything is read from your own natal chart, cast by the same engine as every chart on this site. The second house is the house system you have chosen for that chart; its cusp gives the sign, and the ruler is that sign's MODERN ruler, so Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, Aquarius by Uranus and Pisces by Neptune, and the page states the scheme. The ruler's own sign, house, essential dignity and direction of motion are then read off the chart, and every planet whose longitude falls between the second and third cusps is listed as in the house. Venus is read by sign and by house in the same way. The Lot of Fortune is the Ascendant plus the Moon minus the Sun for a birth with the Sun above the horizon, and the Ascendant plus the Sun minus the Moon for one below it; the Lot of Spirit reverses both. Day or night is decided by the Sun's altitude at the birthplace, not by which house it sits in, because the two disagree on some charts and the horizon is the rule. Without a birth time there is no Ascendant and no houses, so the house and lot sections say so and step aside, and Venus's sign is still read.
