What a placement actually is
A chart is three things at once, and a placement is one of each: a planet, a sign and a house. The planet is what is happening, and there are ten or so: the Sun is what you are becoming, the Moon is what you need, Mercury is how you think, Venus is what you like, Mars is what you do about it. The sign is how: the pace, the manner, the priorities. The house is where: which part of a life it lands in.
So "Mars in Scorpio in the 7th" is one drive, in one style, in one arena. Reading the three apart and then together is most of what learning to read a chart is.
Why there are so many pages here
Ten planets across twelve signs is 120 combinations, and across twelve houses is another 120. Add the aspects between planets and the number climbs again. Every one of them has a page of its own because every one of them is somebody's.
What these pages will not do
They describe a placement, not a person. Nobody has one placement: you have ten of them arguing, and a chart is the argument rather than any single line in it. A page here can tell you what Saturn in the 10th tends to be like. It cannot tell you what you did with yours.
Where to start if you are new
Read your Sun, your Moon and your rising sign first, in that order, and then stop for a while. Those three carry most of what people recognise about themselves, and the rest of a chart makes far more sense once they are in place.
Then cast your own free chart to find yours.
