Mercury Conjunction Saturn

Mercury (how you think) and Saturn (discipline) sit at the same degree and act as one. You rarely meet one without the other. Whatever one is doing, the other is in it too.

Mercury conjunction Saturn at a glance

What this aspect is really about

A conjunction is zero degrees of separation. There is no angle between the two at all. So there is nowhere to stand and watch either one work. That is concentration, not good or bad luck. What gets concentrated depends on which two planets are there. Here it links Mercury (how you think) with Saturn (discipline), so those two parts of you are permanently in conversation, colouring how you show up whenever either is active.

Umbriel calls this aspect Integration. The name says what the angle does, not how you are supposed to feel about it. Most sources call the conjunction a “neutral” or “blending” aspect. Same geometry: worth knowing both words so you can read any source.

A question to sit with

Where do you feel how you think and discipline working together in you, and where do they pull against each other?

Working with it

Try naming the two separately for once. Write a line about what each one wants, on its own terms. You cannot pull them apart. The point is to find out whether you have ever seen either one clearly.
