Halloween 2026 in the Sky

On Halloween 2026 the Sun is at 8°04′ Scorpio, the Moon is waning and about 65% lit, and Mercury, Venus and Saturn are retrograde. Computed, not looked up.

What it is

Halloween is the one date everybody shares a mood about, and in 2026 the sky happens to match it. The Sun is in Scorpio, the sign tradition gives to what is hidden, to endings and to the underworld, so the calendar's festival of exactly that lands in the middle of Scorpio season. Scorpio is not a warning. It is the sign that goes for the true version of a thing rather than the polite one, which is uncomfortable and usually worth it. With Mercury, Venus and Saturn retrograde as well, the theme this season is looking again at what you thought was settled: people who come back, conversations that need a second pass, things you finally say out loud. Here is the sky at midday UTC on 31 October:

None of this is a prediction about your night. What it can tell you is which area of your life this Scorpio season is moving through, and that depends on your chart.

Where it falls in your chart

This is the part a calendar cannot tell you. 8°04′ Scorpio is a fixed point in the sky; which house of your chart it lands in, and which of your own placements it touches, depends on your birth date, time and place. Umbriel works that out in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere.
