Synastry tables and composite wheels answer "what are the contacts". The Couple's Report answers "what is it like to be us", in one page written for the two of you.

It opens with both of you: each person's Sun, Moon and Rising, and the composite Sun, Moon and Rising, the midpoints that describe the relationship as a thing in its own right. Then it walks six themes: attraction, conflict, safety, communication, power and growth.

The longer read is up to twenty-two sections chosen by what your two charts actually hold, with public-domain engravings where one fits. Because the sections come from your contacts, two unrelated couples share only a small part of their reports. Recurring patterns names the shapes that keep coming back, and if you add the date you got together, it reads from there.

Timing is the part most reports leave out. The slow planets, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron, are walked day by day over both birth charts and over the relationship chart, from the later birth, or the date you got together, to five years ahead. The seasons the sky has moved you both are laid out in order, past and to come.

There is room for what you would add: your own notes beside the reading. And the whole report can be read as a book, printed or saved as a PDF, with an appendix of the 24 tightest contacts between your charts, and there is a card to share.

It is one reading of two charts, offered for reflection, and it is written warmly about both of you.

Both birth charts are cast by the same engine as every chart on Umbriel, and the composite chart from the midpoints of each pair of planets and angles. The six themes and the longer read are chosen from the contacts between the two charts, so the sections each couple receives follow from their own charts; measured across unrelated couples, two reports share at most about a fifth of their sections. The timing section walks Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, Pluto and Chiron day by day across both natal charts and the Davison relationship chart, from the later of the two births, or from the date you say you got together, to five years ahead, and lists the passages in date order. Jupiter is left out of the timing because, tested on a pair, it touched the charts on 51 of 81 rows and drowned out everything else.
