The whole 78-card deck — 22 Major Arcana and 56 Minor — drawn without replacement, so a card cannot turn up twice in one spread.

Reversed is not simply the opposite. Each card carries its own reversed meaning, written separately, because a reversed Tower is not an un-Tower.

The daily card is seeded from the date, so it is the same card all day rather than rerolling every time you look — and everybody drawing that day shares it. That is deliberate: a card you can reroll until you like it is not telling you anything.

There is a real structural link to the rest of the app, and it is not decorative. The thirty-six Minor Arcana from Two to Ten map onto the thirty-six decans of the zodiac — ten degrees each — which means any degree of any chart has a tarot card attached to it by an old and specific correspondence rather than by loose association. Umbriel shows that link on its cross-system pages, alongside the Human Design gate and the I Ching hexagram for the same degree.

The Major Arcana carry their own attributions in the same tradition, which is why the Matrix of Destiny — a modern system built on birth dates — reads its positions through them.
