Capricorn Sun, Capricorn Moon: The Mountain, All the Way Down

You were about eleven when you first thought about what you would be doing at forty, and you were not far off.

Both lights in Saturn’s own sign, so your ambition and your comfort want the same thing: something solid, with your name against it. Most people relax away from the work. You relax when the work is not in danger, which is not the same thing and is considerably harder to arrange.

One sign for both lights can only be a New Moon. The Moon makes up about twelve degrees a day on the Sun, so thirty degrees of sign is two and a half days of work, and you arrived inside that window: the month at hour zero, with everything still to be built.

The small cost is the credit you will not take. Somebody says well done and you produce, immediately, the three things that are not finished.

What you cannot see: nobody else is keeping the ledger you are keeping. They stopped counting long ago and started assuming you would manage it, which is the highest compliment anybody ever pays anybody.

You carry weight without discussing it, and there are people whose lives are structurally sounder because you were in them, and one day they will tell you so.
