What Virgo is like
Virgo notices. Before it has an opinion about a thing it has already seen the join, the typo, the half second of hesitation, and it went looking for none of them.
The impulse is not criticism, it is repair. What reads as fault-finding from outside is usually a mind that cannot see something slightly wrong without also seeing the version that would be right, which is a tiring way to walk through a world made mostly of nearly.
It is the sign of the useful. Virgo would rather be the one who actually fixed it than the one who was thanked for it, and will often quietly arrange for those to be two different people.

Virgo season, in the sky
The Sun is in Virgo from late August to late September, and it leaves at the September equinox, the second of the year's two crossings, this one heading south.
Spica, the ear of wheat in the Virgin's hand and the brightest star in the constellation, now falls at 24 degrees of the sign Libra: a whole sign along from the name it gave. It is the plainest illustration of the drift there is, and it is why an astrologer working from the stars and one working from the signs can disagree about a chart while both are reading it correctly.
