What the 11th house is, before anybody lands in it
The 11th house is everybody who is not obliged to be there. Friends, the group, the network, the cause, and the hopes you are aiming at.
An overlay here is the friendship first relationship. The other person arrives as one of your people rather than as an event, and a great many long relationships start in exactly this house.
It sits opposite the 5th. The 5th is what you make yourself and the 11th is what a group makes, which is why the difference between a romance and a friendship often shows up as which of the two houses is busier.
